Catching Up

I am taking a little break from Blog-tember today to catch up on some life happenings.  How is it even possible that we are just a week away from October?  September has been full of fun for us but it has seriously flown by so fast!  And why is it still so hot?  I am dying to bring out my booties but considering it is still in the mid 90’s outside, the summer sandals are still staying on repeat for now.

So for a little September catching up…

Hadley saved up her money to buy a mermaid tail.  She had been wanting one for weeks and the $5 from the tooth fairy finally put her over the edge a few weeks ago. She has been thrilled to get in a few more pool days as a mermaid this month.

We are so excited to back to AWANA regularly this month.  The kids really have a lot of fun and Jarrod and I both really enjoy helping with the kids.

Dance is back in full swing and both of the girls are loving their classes and teachers this year.  And I really love that their teachers share some fun pics of the girls in action with me!

Hadley is doing so awesome in Kindergarten and still really loves going every day.  She has made some of the sweetest little friends and is having a blast learning new things.  They got to have a pep rally last week for the football team and made signs for their “Adopted Eagle.”  She was super proud of her sign she made for him.  I got to enjoy lunch with her one day last week as well.  I love watching her interact with all of her new friends.

I

HC is loving preschool as well.  They got to have visits from the police and are learning all about shapes and colors and writing their names.  Bless her heart, a 12 letter name is tough for a little one but we are getting there.

I ran the Swing Through 5K at Calhoun last weekend. It wasn't my best time but considering it was extremely hot and I have been training for the 10 miler at a much slower pace, it wasn't too bad. I still finished in under 30 minutes and it was fun running on my old stomping grounds. Man did I hate those campus runs back in the day... they seemed like torture! My softball friends would call me crazy if they knew I voluntarily signed up for a campus run!

I love this time of year so much.  Everyone is back in the full swing of things and it seems like life is pretty much back to normal… well as normal as it gets around here.  Football, a few cool(er) runs, busy school days, and some extra time with friends are on our agenda for the rest of the month and we are all looking forward to all the fun stuff we have coming up in October as well!

Happy Weekend my friends!!
