It's Summer!!

We are sooo excited that summer is finally here!  Hadley has been asking for months how much longer until summer and could not be more thrilled that it is finally here and especially that she could finally get in the pool!

We kicked off the weekend celebrating Eli's graduation on Thursday night.  I still cannot believe that he graduated.  He was about the same age as my girls are now when Jarrod and I first started dating and it just blows my mind how fast he has grown up.  We had a lot of fun celebrating with family and friends.

Saturday was Gigi's birthday so we spent the rest of the weekend swimming and celebrating with her.  My girls sure do love their Gigi and we are all very thankful for all she does!

Get Your Pretty On Summer Challenge

I am not usually one to do stuff like this but a few months ago, I ran across the Get Your Pretty On Style Challenge.  Basically, what it is, is you sign up as a member of the style challenge and the stylist (Alison Lumbatis) sends you wardrobe list with key pieces for the season.  Each piece gives you several options to choose from so you can shop your closet or shop the stores on whatever budget you would like to gather the pieces for your closet.  You then get 3 weeks worth of daily outfit ideas sent to you every day made up of the pieces from the wardrobe list.  It also includes membership to a private Facebook group where you can link up with other ladies to share your outfit ideas and other resources. (This was definitely my favorite part of the whole challenge).  The group is full of all types of ladies of all ages, shapes, and sizes from all over the country.  Working moms, stay at home moms, singles, grandmas, really everyone can participate.  It is very easy to "make the wardrobe your own" to fit your taste and style!

I have done a few of these challenges and I cannot say enough good things about how much I loved participating.  I have really been downsizing my wardrobe over the last few years to create the perfect capsule wardrobe that I can mix and match all of the pieces.  The very best part is that all I had to was open my link and see what I was supposed to wear for the day which made getting ready in the mornings super easy!  The outfits were all super comfy and easy to style and I got a ton of compliments on my outfits like every day.

Plus if you sign up now, you not only get the 21 days of outfits from this summers challenge, you also get a 10 day summer vacation packing list as well as access to last summers capsule.  So that is almost two months worth of outfit choices!  Plus you are entered into a chance to win weekly gift cards to some of my favorite clothing stores.  And if you don't like it, you can cancel and get a full refund.

If you are in a rut with your wardrobe or find yourself wasting money on pieces you don't just love, this challenge is for you!  I promise you that you will begin loving your clothes and feel better about yourself.  Isn't it amazing what a difference a good outfit can make on the way you feel about yourself?!?

Registration is open May 26th - June 10th so hurry up and sign up now!  You deserve this little treat for yourself!  Just click the referral link below!

Way to go Heartbreakers

Our first softball season is officially over and the Heartbreakers are the 6U champions! Woohoo!  I am so proud of this little group of girls.  They have the biggest hearts and have played so hard all season long.  Hadley had some of the sweetest little teammates and I could not have asked for a better group of coaches. Not to mention, all of her many wonderful fans that we are so thankful have taken the time to come cheer her on this season.

The Heartbreakers only lost two games this year and ended up both league and tournament champs.  Hadley was in heaven bringing home three trophies to add to her shelf.  Bless that girl though, she was so super proud of those things!  She may be as sassy and prissy as they come but she has loved playing her some softball too!

I can't believe her first season is already over but we are all already looking forward to many many more in the future!  Hadley and the other girls have all improved so much and I have just loved watching them play each week.  Had said she just loved her team so much and "it would never be the same again".  I wish I could just slow down time and soak all these fun memories in just little bit more.

Way to go Heartbreakers! So proud of you sweet girl!

AWANA Awards

We just finished up our first year of our AWANA club at our church and I could not be more proud of how well it went! Our young adult group has worked really hard over the last year and really gone above and beyond to make this a successful first year! I am so thankful to be able to work with such a great group.

We finished up the year with an awards ceremony last night. The kids all received their certificates and awards for doing so well in their clubs all year.

I had the best time this year working with Hunter Claire and the other Puggles. They really have learned so much already. I love watching them grow and learn. Hadley finished her first year of Cubbies and I am very impressed with all the Bible verses she has learned. Our whole family has had a great AWANA year and I am just so thankful we get to be a part of this fun ministry as a family.

One of those weeks...

This past week has been on of this fast paced nonstop weeks for sure! Between welcoming a new baby, preschool graduation, and picnics on top of all of our normal activities, this week has been jam packed!

Thankfully I was off on Friday so we were able to sleep in a little and get some much needed chores done around the house. We finally ventured out around lunch to run some errands and stopped for lunch at the Kreme Delite for some hotdogs and ice cream. Which was fun except for the fact that I have really been trying to do good on my Paleo diet so I just had a bite or two of the girls ice cream.

After that, we stopped by to welcome my sister and the baby home. HC still refuses to hold him though so we just tried to get the best picture we could.

Friday night, the Heartbreakers had a makeup game and Hadley hit the game winning "homerun"... She was so extremely excited and just kept saying "I just can't believe I hit my first ever homerun!!!" Jarrod had to work late at graduation and had to miss the game. I was so bummed he missed all the excitement... Maybe she will do it again ;)

We got up Saturday and went for a run/walk/bike/stroll before doing some yard work. The girls were so excited to dress just like me.

Saturday night, Jarrod kept the girls while I went out to dinner with my sister in law for her 40th! We had such a fun time!

I did literally LOL when Jarrod sent me this snap though... Not sure the driving range and Hadley mix too well! But oh that child definitely keeps us laughing!

Sunday morning, we visited FBC Athens to see our nephews senior recognition. I just still cannot believe our Eli is graduating! He was smaller than my girls when Jarrod and I started dating!

We've had a fun and busy week filled with lots and lots of new memories for us all! Maybe we can slow down a little this week and catch up on some much needed projects around the house!

Little Tots Graduation

I cannot believe that Hadley's time at Little Tots has finally come to an end.  They celebrated this week at a little party at the park and a sweet graduation ceremony.  We have so very much loved our time at Little Tots and Mrs. Mandy has been the best teacher for the past two years.  Hadley has made some of the sweetest little friends and I am so sad to see them go their separate ways next year.  I hope they can all stay in touch and always remember their first best school friends.

I gave Hadley a little interview on her last day of school that I look forward to looking back on over the years...

What was your favorite thing you did at school this year?  Making Penguins.
Who was your best friend?  Riley
What was your favorite thing you learned?  Sign Language because then I don't have to talk so much.
What is your favorite color? Purple and Pink
What do you want to be when you grow up?  A Rockstar or Doctor
What is your favorite book?  Alice in Wonderland
What is your favorite toy at school? Baby Dolls
What is your favorite thing to play at school?  Tag on the playground
What was your favorite field trip?  The Pumpkin Patch
What do you love most about your teacher?  She is fun.
What will you learn in Kindergarten?  more sign language

I know Hadley will miss Mrs. Mandy and all her friends and fun times at Little Tots but I know she is very ready for Kindergarten and will love it too.  I am just glad Hunter Claire gets to start at Little Tots next year so we can stay for a few more years!
