Championships

The girls had the BEST seasons playing softball this spring.  They both made lots of new friends and really had a lot of fun.  I was so impressed with how much they both improved.  HC's team went undefeated until the championship game where they got beat by one run.  Hadley's team finished runner up in the season but finished the end of season tournament as champions!  They both brought home lots of new hardware and were more than happy with all the fun they had!  Hadley was so happy she cried... literally.  She has the biggest emotions and the biggest heart of all.  Jarrod and I had a great time coaching and we are all already looking forward to another fun season next time!

Is it summer yet?

I don’t ever remember a May where the temperature was consistently in the 90s.  It seems like it has been so hot every day and definitely already feels like summer!  I know I have mentioned it before but May is the busiest month for us!  Between ball games, school stuff, dance, and festivities, I feel like we are go-go-go all the time!

HC was chosen as Dedicated Dancer for her dance class for this year!  Her teacher said she is always on point and following exactly what she is supposed to do.  I am so proud of that sweet girl!  She was so excited that she wore her t-shirt to school the next day!

Hadley had a friend spend the night so we whipped out the sprinklers and even made a late night run to Kreme Delite!

I was finally able to attend a Boot Camp session at the gym!  I love these classes and have made some really great friends through it.

It was a HOT Saturday so we decided to have our first official pool day!    JeeJee and Hadley were twinning!

We celebrated fun birthday parties with friends and family.

The girls had awards night at AWANA for the year.  Hadley got a blue ribbon for finishing her book and moving on to T&T next year.  HC had a great first year of Sparks and has done so great earning all her jewels.  They celebrated with an Ice Cream party after the ceremony.

We have spent LOTS of nights at the ballfield!  The girls have both really improved and their little teams have really played well.  We have all had a fun time and really love the support from their fans.. especially their school friends and teachers!

Jarrod’s cousin got married in Mobile so we took a little weekend trip down for that.  The girls loved celebrating and dancing at the wedding.  We spent the night in a “fancy hotel” as the girls described it and ventured down to Dauphin Island for a day at the beach.  I was a great little get away and really got me looking forward to our beach trip in a few weeks.

We got back just in time to spend a little time with my family on Memorial Day.  Both of my grandfathers were veterans and are no longer with us.  It was a great day not only remember them, but also all those many others who have helped give us this great life we live today.

The girls both won their first rounds of the end of season tournament so they will be playing in their championship games tomorrow.  I was super proud of how well they played in the first games and am looking forward to some exciting games tomorrow for the finals!  It’s been a great season and I hate to see it come to an end!

We still have a few more days of school left before we officially kick off summer but we have a few more fun things to get through first!
