Despite everything that has been going on this year, we have so much to be thankful for...
Jarrod celebrated his 33rd birthday. Hadley wrote a letter to her elves and asked them to come early to help celebrate his birthday so they showed up and did a little decorating. Jarrod's not a big holiday celebrator but we took him out for Mexican and made him a dirt cake to celebrate anyways.
Our little town kicked off the holidays with open house on the square. We enjoyed some time downtown ice skating, shopping, and eating at our favorite Village Pizza.
Our nephew graduated from Mississippi State. Due to covid restrictions, we could not all go to the ceremony but we had a fun few days visiting and celebrating with him. It's still so unreal to me that he is old enough to be graduating college. Eli was just a toddler when Jarrod and I started dating!
We had a smaller Thanksgiving this year with family. Instead of getting together with everyone, we just got together with a smaller group. It felt a little strange but I am so thankful we still got to have a little bit of our normal traditions.
I have really been slacking on my running this year but my friend and I were able to participate in the Ditto Landing 10K. It was so great to get to see her (it's been months since we have gotten to get together) and catch up on everything going on while we ran. And we ended up finishing with a not terrible time. It was a great morning and I was thankful we got to do it.
Despite all the negative that this year has brought, I am really trying to focus on the good and be thankful for all that we still have! We are all looking forward to the holidays and praying we all stay well and safe so we can enjoy this time that we all love so much!
