All Stars, Presidents and Celebrating our Veterans

I just thought we were done with softball in October... the rec league decided to have a little inter-league all star game for the girls.  It was just one game but it was a fun opportunity to give the girls a little different game with some different teammates.  HC thought it was really crazy that her and my niece Brynlee were on different teams.  I am pretty sure this was the first time they had ever played against each other.  Our team didn't win but it was a fun (and COLD) little game with some new (and old) friends anyways.

With all the election stuff going on, the girls have been learning a lot about voting and democracy.  Hunter Claire's class had a little election for Class President. She was so excited to she got selected for the ballot and got to give a little speech that she wrote.  Her class voted her as president and she even got to select her Vice President.  I am so glad she is such a good friend to everyone in her class.

It was also a great week to get to talk more about our country and about Veterans and all they have done for our country.  We went to the parade downtown and it was so nice and refreshing to see everyone there celebrating our country and the sacrifices these men and women have made for all of us.

The little girls also got to bring a picture of their favorite veteran to share with their class.  Both of my grandfathers were Army vets and even though they never got to meet them in person, they were so happy to get to share about them.

Hunter Claire started basketball and Hadley has been busy with gymnastics and dance so that's been fun for all of us.  I love watching them learn new things and see their love for new games and activities.

I love this time of year but I am just praying every day that we can stay well with all the virus cases I keep hearing about!

Oh and I forgot to mention, we got some new kittens.... welcome to the family, Beasley and Phoebe!
