Wooh it was a busy busy week at the
Harrison household….
When I signed Hadley up for soccer, I
was under the impression that they only played on Saturdays for a few weeks.
Well I was wrong. Apparently they had so many kids sign up this season
that they had to schedule games all throughout the week. And they just happened to fall on the most
inconvenient times for us. So we have had to learn that we have to pick
and choose and have to miss out on a few things but we’ve made it all work out
for the most part…
Monday was ballet picture day for Had.
By time, I got her all ready and to the studio on time, I failed to snap
a picture but thankfully a sweet friend snapped one and sent me. I love
her ballet costume and can’t wait to see her dance!
We left dance pictures, went home to
bundle up, and headed to the ballfield for HC’s game. It was soooo cold
but they little Lollipops pulled out a big win.
We headed back to the ballfield on
Tuesday but thankfully though, this time it was a nice 80 degrees (got to love
Alabama weather)! HC did sooo great and even got her first few big hits
without tee #proudmom and the Lollipops won a super
fun and exciting game! We were glad our
friends got to come watch too.
Thursday was a super marathon day.
Both girls had dance pictures and Hadley had a soccer game too and there
was just no way we could do it all. So we had talked long and hard about
what we were going to have to miss and figured out a way to make it work as
best we could. I took the girls to studio a few minutes early to get
their picture together before rushing off to Hadley’s game.
She was a little bummed she had to
miss her class picture but she really didn’t want to miss her game against her
best friends at school. We did a quick change in the car and showed up at
the soccer field (all bundled up again because temps were back in the 40s) with
a whopping 5 minutes to spare. She hit
the field with her full face of makeup and ballet bun still in tact and played
an awesome game! She improved so much just from her first game and even
scored a goal! She was still upset about
missing her picture but at least a good game made it seem a little better.
After the game, we headed back to the dance
studio where HC was finishing up her pictures and then grabbed bite to eat
before crashing at home!
The weather finally warmed up on
Saturday and it was soooo nice outside. I went to my Super Circuit class
Saturday morning before running some errands and getting some work done outside
around the house. We finally planted some flowers, hung lights, cleaned up the
yard, and got all of our outdoor spaces all ready for spring.
The youth group at our church were
participating in Disciple Now this weekend and were happy to host them for
dinner at our house Saturday evening. We
had a lot of fun and the girls were absolutely thrilled that the big kids were
all coming over!
Oh and I found this little list Hadley
made at church. I so love that she is thankful for books and pizza and
crab food (she means crab legs).
