A Day in the Life - Birthday Style

Today was my 31st birthday!  I knew last year's birthday celebration would be hard to top but this year was just as wonderful as well!

I was off work so I woke up and took the girls to school before dropping Barney off at the vet and heading to the track to get a few miles in.

I really wanted to get in a longer run so I decided that it would be cool to leave the track and run up the square and back thinking that would get me lots of miles in.  Well turns out, it is just a little over a mile to get to the square from the high school so I still ended up making a few laps around the loop but it was a super nice run just hanging by myself running to my music and the weather was just perfect.

After I finished up, I stopped by Starbucks to redeem my free birthday treat!  I splurged for a caramel frappecino.  I have not had one of those in years and I forgot how delicious they are!

I had a little time to kill before picking the little girls up from school so I ran home and worked in the yard for a few minutes trying to save some of the my flower pot that our dog destroyed.  I am not sure I would call it successful but I did at least get them cleaned up off the patio.

After I picked up the littles, I met some of my family for lunch.  It was also my great uncle Glenn's 80th birthday so I was glad to get to join him to celebrate!

After lunch, we went with my aunt and my Nanu to meet my cousin at Edgar's for cake.  They have the BEST desserts and their cakes are amazing so we got several slices to try and even took home a whole strawberry cake for later!

We then hurried back to town to pick Hadley up from school and went and picked up Barney from the groomer with his fresh summer cut.

After unwrapping my "gifts" that HC wrapped up for me, we scurried off to the ballfield for HC's game and then my sweet little Lollipops suprised me with a cookie cake!

After the game, we headed back home and Jarrod grilled some hamburger and hotdogs as we celebrated a little more with some family and friends.

I could not have asked for a better birthday full of lots and cake and spent with all my favorite people!
