I'm back reading from my classic novels list this week in prep for what looks to be a new "classic" that was released yesterday!
I love Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird! It has got to be one of my all time favorite books. I have probably read it at least 5 times or so. I just love little Scout and fall in love with all the characters each time I read it. As I mentioned before, I really love books based in Alabama...especially in the "olden" days. It always amazes me how much things change in our little part of the world and I love these books to take me back in time for awhile.
I can not even begin to do justice for this book in a little paragraph review but I can say that if you haven't read this book, you really need to! I read this in high school -- or forced my way through it for my summer reading -- but I didn't really fall in love and appreciate it as much until I read it again when I was older.
I can't wait to read the "sequel" soon! I previewed the first chapter so far and love the fact that Scout (or I guess I should call her Jean Louise) is about my age!
