Jarrod was out of town duck hunting for most of the week and HC was recovering from the flu so me and the girls did a lot of catching up and just hanging around mostly.
Everyone finally was better and the weather warmed up by the end of the week so we ventured out a little. My cousin that lives in Nashville is moving and had some patio furniture to give me so dad and I traveled up there on Saturday morning and loaded it all up. We looked like Sanford and Son driving back with it all tossed into the back of the truck.
We had a family friend pass away this weekend so we took them lunch and spent some time visiting with some long time friends. I hate that it takes losing someone to make us stop and appreciate those in our lives. I am so blessed with some of the most wonderful friends and family!
Saturday afternoon, we went and signed Hadley up to play soccer this spring. She is so excited and wanted to come home and practice in the yard some. We are not "soccer people" at our house but I am looking forward to Hadley trying it out. I think she will really like it!
HC has decided she wants to play softball this spring with some of her friends so we are looking forward to that too. She is super athletic but hates to be in front of people watching her so it will definitely be interesting to see how she does. She put on her dress and her sparkly shoes and did a little practicing in the yard too.
Sunday was another rainy and dreary day. I had a room full of little ones in Children's Church! I love seeing our children's department grow so much!
After church, I came home and cleaned out all the clothes that I had stored in the attic. I cleaned out approximately fiftyleven hand me down outfits that HC says that no way will she wear it. Apparently, my kids have turned into teenagers and all they want to wear are "big girl" clothes. I guess our days of pretty smocking and lace are coming to an end :(
Sunday night was a special night at AWANA. Both girls earned awards for all their hard work they have been doing in their classes!
It was a long week and we were all super glad to see Daddy return home on Sunday night!
