Weekly Wrap Up - Happy New Year

It's been a fun first week of January.

We rang in the new year at home Sunday night.  We played some board games, drank hot chocolate, and watched the ball drop in New York City!

We started the year off with a few lazy days at home.  And considering it has been like 14 degrees, we didn't even leave the house much unless we had to!

Our friends came over to watch the Alabama playoff game on Monday evening and thankfully we came out with a big W!  It's been such a fun season watching with this group and we were super glad to get to get together again after like a month without football Saturdays!

Jarrod and I went back to work a few days but thankfully, we got to enjoy a long weekend before the girls headed back to school today.  The girls and I went to lunch with my family on Friday and then had a little time to kill before Hadley's hair appointment so we stopped at a cute little local coffee shop in our downtown square.  The girls thought they were so cool sipping their hot chocolate in the window.  Hadley really wanted to get a few inches chopped off her hair and it looks so cute.  Why does she all of a sudden look twelve though?

Our little friend Mason had a basketball game on Friday night so Hadley and I went to watch him.  Our nephews also happened to be playing against each other so we got to catch their game as well.  It was lots of fun watching them but made me miss playing so much!  I tried to convince Hadley that she should sign up to play next year and she was like um no.  #heartbrokenmama

We spent Saturday mostly at home playing.  It did warm up to like 34 degrees so I forced myself to get my "long run" for my half training in before turning in early and watching a little Grease with my girls.

I had children's church on Sunday so I had some fun playing with these sweet little ones.  We ended the weekend with a fun night back at AWANA and prepping to get back to school.

It's been a nice, relaxing first week of the new year but I am already finding myself dreaming about warmer weather coming our way!
