We kicked off the week staying up way too late watching our Tide bring home another National Championship with some of our most favorite friends. We have watched just about every game this season with our same "crew" and have loved it so much. There is just something so special about that time together and we will be counting down the days until next season! The girls were super tired from their first day back at school and crashed before half time but the rest of us had a fun time celebrating!
Between a super busy week at work, everyone getting back to school and activities, and recovering from our late night on Monday, we had a pretty slow week for most of it. We lucked up with a weather day off from school on Friday. I had to go to work for a half day but the others got to enjoy a lazy morning at home before the snow arrived late afternoon. And when I say snow, I mean like 0.001 inches. The girls were soooooo excited about it though and literally stood at the window jumping up and down as soon as they saw the first snow flake. They had the BEST time playing "in" the snow for a few minutes before deciding it was freezing and came in for some hot chocolate. We are expecting a little more snow tomorrow so fingers crossed we get enough to actually play in.
Saturday was a pretty lazy day for us. We did some catching up on some things at home and then ventured out in the 19 degree temperature to get some much needed pedicures. Hadley had a gift certificate so we felt like we got a little treat.
HC went home with my aunt and grandmother Saturday and Hadley decided she needed a spend the night party at my sister's so Jarrod and I got to enjoy a mini date night and go out to dinner.
We all had super fun at AWANA on Sunday night. We finally scored some scooters for game time and the kids (and some grownups) had a ton of fun scooting around all night! We so love our AWANA time and I love the friendships that my girls find there.
Brynlee came home with us after church for a spend the night party since today was a holiday and the girls stayed up way too late but had a lot of fun.
We spent today catching up on some things around here and FINALLY hanging a few pictures and decor on the walls. I am not sure this house will ever be "finished" but at least I have finally unpacked the last box! It was 50 degrees today so I figured I better get my long run in before the cold hits again for the rest of the week! Thankful for another snow day at home tomorrow though!
