I am really going to try and do a
better job of consistently blogging this year. My goal is to do a weekly
recap of our going-ons as well as joining in on a few monthly link ups. I
really try not to get too caught up in my blog and definitely don’t stress over
how often I do or do not post but I do love to go back and read all of our
happenings from time to time so I want to be sure to capture everything!
starting: to make our house more our home. Since we moved in in November, I
just went ahead and put up all my Christmas decor instead of spending any time
decorating or anything. Now that it is all down, I guess it is time to
actually start putting some decor on the shelves and hanging some things on the
walls. I am really trying to take my time and not get overwhelmed with it
all though.
hoping: to stick to my goals this year. I have really spent some time
reevaluating some things and making some plans on how to get to where I want to
be. Oh and really hoping the Tide don't disappoint next week!
scheduling: appointments. It seems like all of our appointments seem to fall
in January. We all will be making dentist trips, Hadley has an eye doctor
appointment, and we need to squeeze a few haircuts in there as well. Not
to mention juggling them all with school and activities starting back!
reading: I just started I Let You Go and have a few more “unputdownable” books
on my to-read list. Hoping to find a little more time to soak in some
good books this winter.
playing: games, games, and more games. Had requested games for Christmas
and between her and Hunter Claire and a few I picked up for myself, we are now
the proud owners of 8 more games on our shelves! I love that the girls
are finally big enough to understand most of them and we have been having lots
of fun with a little friendly family competition. So far, Sorry and “High
Ho the Cherrio” as HC calls it have been the top hits for us all. We have
really enjoyed these extra days at home!
I agree - it really is fun to have a blog to look back on your life, especially since I am not at all a journaling person. So I'm glad you've joined us for the linkup :) My 4-year-old got a bunch of new games for Christmas too, which has been great to occupy us over the holiday break while it's been so cold out! I forgot all about High Ho Cherrio from when I was a kid, but that really is a fun one...
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like all of the appointments fall within a couple of weeks of each other! I never really realize it until I start requesting time off at work, then it's like dang it!
