Spring Break 2020

Well this Spring Break post looks a little different than I thought it would.  I feel like we have been on a three week spring break really.  We took the week off from school work and schedules at home. I still had to work from home but Jarrod and the girls enjoyed sleeping late and just hanging out.

We had a visit from Kona Ice in the neighborhood, went on some more walks and bike rides, played with some more chalk, enjoyed some more movies on the patio, and even rode a horse!

We did have a few colder days this week but the girls occupied their time indoors with a little fashion show and crafting.

I still can't believe this is real life.  I really thought this would all have blown over by now but here we are, with Stay Home Orders for the rest of the month.  We are starting our official e-learning homeschooling on Monday and making plans for Easter Egg hunts in our own yard. I have started making a gratitude journal every day to try to focus on the good things and the opportunities we have now that we would never have had the opportunity to do otherwise but not going to lie, I still struggle with wrapping my head around this new normal.  I know it's going to be over at some point and we will look back on this time with fond memories.  I am looking forward to starting our homeschooling this week and anxious to see how it goes (probably not near as well as my expectations) but we shall see!
