Weekly Wrap Up - Awards Day, Bicycles, and a Storm

It is always hard to follow birthday week at our house but we managed to make it through pretty well....

HC had to get some dental work done.  My poor kids for some reason, do not have much or any enamel on some of their teeth and have had trouble with them from the start.  She did an awesome job so we spent the afternoon enjoying milkshakes afterwards.

Hadley received her report card this week and did so great!  She has really been working on improving a few of her reading skills and it really showed.  I try to make a big deal about report cards at our house and make sure they understand how proud of them I am for trying to do their best at school.

I was thankful to get to attend the award ceremony at her school on Friday as well.  She earned the Leadership Award for her class (she's been wanting that award so badly all year long), an AR Reading Award, and Perfect Attendance!  She was so excited about all her awards and I was a super proud mom beaming with pride #proudmom.

Friday night, I was super excited to get together with my Calhoun friends.  Our time together seems harder and harder to come by but I so love spending time with them.  With 10 kids between us all and 4 more on the way, we have plenty to talk about and keep us entertained for hours! (Please excuse my unedited screenshot photo... I will fix it later... maybe).

Saturday was a beautiful day!  We started the day with soccer and softball practice and came home and literally spent the rest of the day outside.  Hadley challenged us all to a "water challenge" and HC conquered a huge big girl milestone... riding her bike without training wheels!  It literally took her like two times to take off by herself.  Again #proudmom.

The girls were super proud of their outfits and wanted a photo shoot after church on Sunday.  HC is wearing my dress from when I was a little girl :)

Monday called for bad weather in our area so we had a tornado party at our house.  Our new house has a storm cellar (PRAISE THE LORD) so we invited some of our friends to come over and wait out the storms in case we needed to take cover.  The girls had their "safety storm bags" packed all ready to go and were all camped out downstairs.  Thankfully, the worst of the storms missed us but we had fun spending a little extra time with friends.

Spring Break is this week and we are planning for a few days at the beach later this week!
