She had just a few request for her birthday this year. She wanted just a few friends to come over and play at her house, a Shimmer and Shine chocolate cake with her name in purple, lots of Shimmer and Shine balloons in all the rooms, and pizza rolls. Pretty simple. Hadley made herself the official party planner and they got up super early Saturday morning to get ready for the party. They decorated the table with plates and party hats and Hadley made a list for everything to do.
After teeball practice on Saturday morning, we picked up the cake and some balloons and HC's friends arrived to eat pizza rolls and chocolate cake. They all had the best time playing together (even though HC may have drifted off to play by herself a little bit. Bless her soul.. she really just loves to be in her own little world without anyone bothering her sometimes).
She requested pancakes for her birthday breakfast so we started off the day with chocolate chip pancakes and opening a few gifts before church.
After church, our families came over for pizza and cake and continued celebrating HC a little more!
We have a few birthday rules at our house: you don't have to do your chores, get to pick out your clothes, and eat whatever you want so HC thouroughly enjoyed each one! She requested Captain D's for dinner and finished the day with some mac and cheese and chocolate chip cookies.
It was a great day celebrating out girl!
