We finally got to go back to church! It's amazing how much we took such a normal thing like waking up and going to church on Sunday for granted. It was a little different but it sure was nice to be back together worshiping with our church family.
We also got to get back on the ball field with HC. Since the rec league season got cancelled, we were fortunate to get to play in a little condensed summer league in our county. HC and her teammates had so much fun! It was great to get to spend time with friends doing something we all enjoy. And HC totally rocked her season. I was so impressed with her and her teammates and how well they played together. 8 games in two weeks is not for the faint of heart but these girls were troopers!
The girls enjoyed Virtual VBS in our living room. They loved the little activities and and videos that they got to watch and participate in each day.
We celebrated Father's Day with our family. We are so thankful for all the great Daddy's in our life! And I failed to get a picture of my dad.
It was super nice to get back to a little running. I had signed up for a trail race several weeks back and was really worried that it would get canceled. I was really thankful that the race organizers did a lot of restructuring and planning so we could enjoy a safe socially distanced race! And I won my age group so that was an added bonus!
We found some new ways to entertain ourselves outside at home. The girls had a blast playing hair salon in the driveway, having photoshoots in the grass, painting furniture, and swinging for hours and hours.
We've really enjoyed our real first month of summer at home. I have such a love-hate with this "new normal" but it definitely has its perks with getting to work from home this summer. We still have lots of fun (and uncertainty) ahead but I am excited about some more fun things on our calendar in the coming weeks before we head back to school.
