The girls had a Pumpkin Parade at school. They had to decorate a pumpkin as one of their favorite book characters and share at school. Hadley chose Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse and HC chose The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I made them do most of the decorating by themselves and we were all so proud of how they turned out!
Hadley had cheer pictures last week and the sky could not have been more perfect! I couldn't help but snap a few pictures of my own.
Both girls had a friend spend the night last Friday night. It was JNES night at the football game so we all loaded up and went to that. Besides getting beat, the girls had a great time cheering on the Golden Eagles with their friends. I was a little worried about our first double spend the night experience but they all did great and actually went to sleep at a decent time :)
We had to get up early to go cheer the next day. Had's squad wore pink ribbons and sported pink pompoms in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. They were super cute and also did so great on their half time dance! These little cheerleaders have truly impressed me this year. And they won their game so we got to head to the playoffs!
It was a busy Sunday as well. Jarrod's sister was baptized on Sunday morning so visited their church to celebrate that. After church, we headed to Walmart to buy Halloween costumes (because that's how this super mom rolls). We then went to a Tool and Kitchen Shower for my cousin and her fiance. We are so excited for them and for all the fun wedding festivities coming up!
Monday was my sister's birthday so we met my family for dinner to celebrate with her.
I soooo loved what the girls' school decided to do for Red Ribbon Week this year. Instead of silly dress up days, they had a healthy challenge to do each day. We really enjoyed trying new healthy foods, being more active, and cooking together as a family. I would highly recommend this for all schools!
Saturday was another day full of cheering on the Mini Eagles and getting all geared up for a busy Halloween Week!
