Weekly Wrap Up - Rainy Week

We had a pretty low key week last week.

We had a lot of rain, some really cold, and even a little glimpse of spring this week.

Friday night, we had a much needed girls night at my house.  We ate pizza and junk and wore our lounge clothes and basically just spent hour chit chatting about everyone and everything.... basically the best.

I signed up for a half marathon several months ago and it just happened to fall on the wettest, rainiest day of the whole year.  But my friend and I decided to brave the rain and conquer it anyways (remember my word for this year is commit....).  It really wasn't just horrible besides the fact that I was under-trained, wearing a poncho, and a constant steady rain for basically the entire race!  You can read my entire race recap here.

It was so yucky outside on Saturday so we took advantage of some time indoors making Valentine's.  Hadley requested that they hand make real cards this year so I bought a little $5 craft kit at Target and she spent quite some time making each one unique for everyone in her class.  She cut, taped, stickered, drew pictures, and tied each and every one of them just perfectly.  HC on the other hand, put exactly one sticker on each card, wrote an H and a C on about four of them, stuffed them in envelopes, and called it quits.  And they both ended up with the sweetest, most special little cards to share with all of their friends.  I would take these sweet cards over some fancy-smancy mom-crafted Pinterest project any day.

HC has been begging for weeks to go to "Cracker Bell" so we ventured out a little bit Saturday evening so she could finally get her pancakes she's been wanting.  Hadley loved their holiday french toast and was almost in tears when we got there and found out they no longer had it anymore.

We went to my MeeMee's on Sunday for lunch.  My Aunt loaded the kids up with some Valentine's treats (which included PJs that they decided they needed to put on right away).

It was a fun week but I am soooo praying for spring to come soon!
