Well Hello September

Well hello sweet September.  It's nice to see you and your cool fall like days so soon. It's time to kick off football and comfort food and all things pumpkin spice and cuddle up with my favorite coffee cup and book by my new fall candle.  Oh how I love this time of year!

I stole this picture from Instagram but it is everything ME this time of year!

We've had such a fun first few days of fall so far.  It's officially football season in Athens so Hadley has had a lot of fun with all the excitement at school.  Each year, all the classes at the elementary schools "adopt" an Eagle.  Their eagle is a varsity football player or cheerleader that comes to their class every Friday morning and spends a little time reading or playing with the kids.  They also had a pep-rally at their school and made sweet little signs for their eagle.  I think it is so sweet to see these big boys spending time with the kids and the little ones absolutely love it!  The Eagles also help with car line in the mornings and Hadley loves it!

Every year, our town hosts a pep-rally on the square to kick off football season.  It was a little dreary last week but we all still had a fun time.  I just love watching Hadley with all of her school friends. They are so funny together and I just pray they always stay friends.  And Hadley was extremely excited to get to wear her new "real" cheerleader uniform.

Our town host a Super Hero Day in the park to support childhood cancer.  We didn't get to stay as long as we had hoped but the girls had a fun time playing some games and seeing a few super heroes.  (HC did enjoy it too but in typical HC fashion, she refused to get her picture made).

We got to shower a friend little friend of ours who is getting a new baby sister soon!  My girls love little Briley and we cannot wait to meet sweet little Hensley in a few weeks.

We also attended the annual Alumni Game at Calhoun.  It is one of my favorite events that I look so forward to each year!  It's just so special to get back on that field and play.  I have said it a million times but my time playing softball at Calhoun meant so much to me and I am so sad to see Calhoun athletics coming to an end after this year.

And I couldn't help myself.. I had to stage a few pictures of Hadley's crushed dreams on our "Field of Dreams."

I am really not sure how we are already almost half way through September but it has really been a fun few weeks spending lots of time with friends and family and enjoying everything this time of year has to offer!
