More SNOW Days

I cannot believe all the snow we got here this past week.  We only get a good snow every several years and we were well due for one.  What started off as an ice storm at the first of the week, was later followed by almost 5 inches of snow later in the week!

It started snowing about 7:00 at night and by 8:00, our ground was completely covered.  We quickly bundled up and ran outside because I was afraid it would turn to rain and be gone by morning.  We played in the dark (that was surprisingly super bright out) making snow angels, throwing snowballs, and try to figure out how to make a makeshift sled out of a piece of plastic and some rope.  We had the best time playing but were even more excited when we woke up the next morning and it was all still there!  I had to work and it was like 12 degrees so the girls played out in it on and off for a little bit but we spent most of the day in by the fire. We ended the day with a slumber party in the living room bundled up watching movies.

When we got up on Friday, the snow was STILL there so I took off the afternoon and we headed up to Jarrod's sister house to play.  We tied a wheelbarrow and floor mat to the ATVs and had the best time riding around.  We even went on a little adventure to find icicles at the creek.  It was SO much fun and I hope the girls remember it forever!

We enjoyed our week off of real school even though I had to work some and the girls had some virtual assignments to complete.  It was nice to just be at home and not having to get out in the freezing cold. It warmed up big time over the next few days which we were grateful for considering baseball and softball kicked off in full swing but it sure was great while it lasted!
