Walking in Memphis

We kicked off the new year with a little impromptu trip to Memphis.  We've been saying for over a year that we were going to take a Memphis trip so we finally took the time to go.  It wasn't quite everything we wanted it to be considering several spots on our itinerary were shut down due to new Covid regulations but we still managed to make the best of it and have a good time.

We visited the Rock and Soul Museum, Beale Street, and the Lorraine Hotel.  We ended the trip with a stop by the ginormous Bass Pro Shop including a ride to the top of the pyramid for lunch at the Outlook.  We also ate lots of really great food and as always, the girls very much loved living the hotel life.  It was nice to get a little change of scenery and check out some place new.  I tried to educate the girls all about the great music that came out of the Memphis recording studios and tried to imagine the streets back in the 50s and 60s.  It was a fun trip and we look forward to going back when things get back to normal.
