Weekly Wrap Up - Ballgames and 5Ks

Another fun and busy week at the Harrison house....

We spent lots of nights (five to be exact) at the ballfield due to catching up on some makeup games.

Hadley finished up her last gymnastics class for this semester.  She has really really loved trying out gymnastics this year and I am so impressed with all she has learned. She is already looking forward to her summer course starting back in a few weeks.

HC has just a few more days of preschool left.  The Talking Tree visited them this week and I was so proud to see her in the class photo.  I am pretty sure this is the first "visitor" all year that she wasn't terrified of.

My work has an annual 5K to raise money for Army Emergency Relief each year so I participated in that on Thursday.  The weather was a little warm but the course was really flat and mostly shaded so it was a really great morning to run.  I finished first overall female and set a new PR for myself with a time of 26:38!

We had a little extra time on Friday before HC's game so we enjoyed some Village Pizza on their new patio seating.  I so heart pizza and enjoyed it even more sitting outside on our little hometown square.

I ran the local Chick-fil-a 5K race Saturday morning.  I accidentally set my alarm for 6:00 PM and somehow managed to wake up at 6:31 on my own.  After a slight moment of panic, I hopped out of bed, got dressed, grabbed a granola bar and headed out the door.  I walked up to the race with less than 5 minutes to spare before the 7:00 starting time so I took a super fast bathroom stop and then headed straight to the start line.  I broke my recently set PR and ran my fastest official 5K ever with a time of 26:17.  I finished second in my age group and won a whole bunch of free Chick-fil-a meals so I was super excited about that!  I am not sure if it was the extra adrenaline or the fact that I have made it a priority to stay consistent and intentional with my training I have been doing lately, but I was super excited to break my second PR of the week!

We enjoyed some more beautiful weather outsides on Sunday and HC was excited to be coordinating with her little friend Hudson at church.

It was another great week and we have already kicked off another busy week at the ballfield!
