School
is out and we officially kick off the Christmasing tonight so I figured I
better do a little catching up on all the December happenings so far…
Hadley and I ran in the AHS Jingle Bell Jog. This was her first 5K without any stroller or anything and she did pretty great. She even placed in her age group and earned her very own medal!
We took a little trip up to Opry Mills and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. The girls love going there and Jarrod loves visiting Bass Pro so we squeezed a little day trip in.
We attempted some Santa pictures with
Babu’s fire truck but HC was not having it at all. Thanks to a sweet photographer friend for capturing
these sweet pictures though!
We braved the cold and enjoyed the annual Athens Christmas Parade. It is always a favorite!
Hadley's art work was chosen to be on display at the Athens City Schools Christmas Art Showcase.
I
met up with my college friends for breakfast. I so love getting together
with them and especially letting our little ones play together too. We
will be adding three new babies to the group in 2018 and I am so excited for my
friends!
The girls both had visitor night at dance. I loved getting
to see all the fun things they have learned in class this year.
We
visited Hadley’s school for their Pizza and Projects showcase night.
Loved getting to see what all they have been learning.
And
in the middle of all of that, Hadley was down for a few days with the flu but a
stack of cards from her classmates definitely helped bring up her spirits!
We decorated gingerbread houses and made lots of sweet goodies (that our elf Merida may have gotten a hold of).
