Let's Get It Started

So 2016 is quickly coming to an end.  While we still have lots to do before we officially close it out, I am getting a little head start on some of my goals for the new year!

One of my biggest goals this year is to get a good handle on my finances! I am a planner at heart.  I love a good spreadsheet and spend more time playing with numbers than most normal human beings.  But… sometimes things happen that I don’t always plan for.  I also make bad decisions.  And believe it or not, sometimes, I even indulge on things that I shouldn’t. So with that being said, one of my biggest goals for the upcoming year is to really take control of my finances.  I really want to plan better and stick to my budget so I can achieve some big financial goals in the near (and not so near) future.  So stay tuned--- maybe a little blog accountability will keep me motivated and on track.

Another big goal of mine is to find a better routine for my overall day to day life.  I want to plan better so I can find more time for myself as well as time to get things done around the house and most importantly, time with those I love the most.  I waste A LOT of time.  I mean seriously I have no idea where half of it goes.  So I want to find a routine and stick to it so I can spend my time productively and enjoyably.

And last but most certainly not least…. I want to grow my relationship with Christ.  The more time I spend with Him, the better everything just seems to be.  I don’t want to be a Christian who just checks the boxes on my daily “Jesus To-Do List” but I want to truly go deeper and stronger in my faith.  I want to reach out more and I know the only way that I can do that is by spending more time in the word and in daily prayer.

I love a fresh start and what better time is there than a new year?  We all get so caught up in the Holidays and we seem to just run on fumes.  It is so refreshing when that clock rolls around, to just hit the reset button on life and start a new!
